That’s why I would like to tell you about a new place on Bergamo’s accommodation map. Stylish rooms and apartments with a wellness area, private parking with three electric vehicle charging stations, and an afternoon tea buffet with cakes are just some of the amenities offered by AR Suites & Art. Bergamo is more than just an airport
Bergamo is a city that has entered the awareness of most Italy enthusiasts thanks to the extensive network of flight connections offered by low-cost airlines from many Polish cities. It is the second most popular flight destination from Poland to Italy after Rome. During the summer season of 2025, you can fly here from Poznań, Wrocław, Łódź, Warsaw-Modlin, Gdańsk, Katowice, Kraków, and Lublin with Ryanair, as well as from Warsaw-Chopin Airport with Wizzair.
For many years, Bergamo was seen mainly as a cheaper airport gateway to Milan and other parts of northern Italy. Yet this city is a true gem, well worth not only a longer visit but also consideration as a base for exploring the picturesque corners of the Lombardy region. Speaking of a base, I would like to introduce you to a place perfectly suited for that purpose, offering high-standard accommodation and a range of amenities.
Discover AR Suites & Art
Opened just a year ago, the AR Suites & Art complex of apartments and rooms offers accommodation in an excellent location, right next to Bergamo’s main train and bus stations. Travelers arriving by car or renting a vehicle at the airport can park in the private parking area located in the internal courtyard, while those driving electric cars will find a dedicated charging stations. Fans of relaxation can enjoy the wellness area, featuring a classic sauna with hay, a modern infrared sauna, turkish bath and a salt cave. AR Suites & Art is also fully accessible – all areas of the property, including the wellness zone, are barrier-free and adapted for guests with disabilities.
Just after arrival, guests are welcomed by a stylish lobby with a reception desk. Every detail of this space has been carefully refined to perfection. We had the great pleasure of staying at AR Suites & Art in May 2025, at the invitation of the property’s owner. Here are the details!
Apartments, Rooms, and Art
The apartments and rooms here are an atmospheric and stylish blend of classic and modern design. Each one has a unique interior arrangement – some feature beautiful artwork on the walls – but all have been carefully planned to provide the highest possible level of comfort. All guests are invited to enjoy the daily complimentary Tea & Sweet Time – a charming afternoon break with tea and small sweet treats.

Double / Triple rooms
Double rooms with the option of adding an extra bed – comfortable for up to 3 people, with an area ranging from 25 to 35 m². Equipped with a minibar, coffee machine, kettle, TV, and hairdryer.
Quadruple / Family rooms – first option
Spacious family rooms for up to 4 guests, covering an area of 45 to 50 m², featuring one double bed and two single beds. Amenities include a minibar, coffee machine, kettle, TV, and hairdryer.
Quadruple / Family rooms – option two
Spacious family rooms for up to 4 guests, ranging from 45 to 50 m², featuring one double bed and two single beds. Amenities include a minibar, coffee machine, kettle, TV, and hairdryer.
Two-Rooms Apartment
A comfortable space for up to 4 guests, ranging from 40 to 45 m², featuring a double bed and a sofa bed. Equipped with a minibar, coffee machine, kettle, TV, and hairdryer.
Two-Rooms Apartment Superior
A comfortable two-room apartment for up to 5 guests, ranging from 45 to 50 m², featuring a double bed, a sofa, and an additional bed. Equipped with a minibar, coffee machine, kettle, TV, and hairdryer.
Loft
An elegant, open space for up to 4 people, ranging from 55 to 65 m², featuring a double bed and a leather sofa bed. Amenities include a coffee machine, kettle, TV, hairdryer, and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge stocked with complimentary drinks. Selected white and red wines are also available for an additional charge. The bathroom is spacious and comfortable, and next to the kitchenette there is a discreet utility room with a washing machine, dryer, ironing board, and iron for guests to use.
The central air conditioning is individually adjustable using a control panel located inside the Loft. The bathroom temperature can be set separately from the rest of the room. Despite the proximity to the train station, no outside noise can be heard – the building, as well as the interior walls between rooms, is soundproofed. Even with the property fully booked, including guests with infants, we enjoyed perfect silence at night in the Loft.
Junior Suit
A cozy Junior Suite of 45 m² – ideal for up to 3 guests. It features a bedroom with a comfortable double bed and an additional single bed. In commitment to environmental protection, the suite is cleaned and towels are changed every three days or whenever needed. Amenities include a coffee machine, kettle, TV, hairdryer, and a fully equipped small kitchen.

Guests staying at AR Suites & Art can take advantage of a range of additional attractions and amenities that make the stay not only more enjoyable but also more convenient.
Private, secure parking
You arrive at the property, drive under the building and between the walls, enter a code, and a double glass gate opens to reveal the private guest parking area. Each guest has a designated parking spot, clearly marked with lines. The surface is smooth and free of potholes or bumps – covered with a non-slip parking coating. The parking is available for an additional fee; however, for guests staying in the Loft or the Junior Suite, it is included in the accommodation price.
Breakfast Buffet
A continental buffet breakfast, offering both sweet and savory options along with daily specials prepared by the chef, is available for €15 per person (€12 for children aged 2-9). What exactly can you taste? The sweet buffet includes a wide selection of pastries – from croissants and cakes to pancakes – several types of cereals, jams and preserves, maple syrup for the pancakes, fruit (including small jars of cut fruit for yogurt), yogurts, and various kinds of bread. The savory buffet features fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, cheese, cold cuts, several types of vegetables, and a mixed salad. On a separate counter, you’ll find cold beverages, including freshly squeezed orange juice. Guests also have access to a pressure coffee machine.
The Cave – Wine Cellar
The Cave is a unique space designed for those who wish to celebrate special moments in an intimate and elegant setting. The exclusive MOSS wine cellar, featuring prestigious wines and a cozy bistro, invites guests to enjoy evenings full of flavor and sophistication. A carefully curated selection of the finest wines and a high-level food and wine experience make every moment spent in The Cave a truly memorable experience.Located on the underground level, the ambiance combines modern furnishings with the charm of a brick barrel-vaulted ceiling and a vintage Volano meat slicer placed in the corner.
Wellness Area
Salt room
In the basement of AR Suites & Art, you’ll find an intimate and stylish Wellness Area, designed for maximum comfort and the highest standards of relaxation. Entry is permitted only for guests aged 16 and above and is available daily in the afternoon hours. For those booking the Junior Suite or the Loft, access to the wellness area is included in the accommodation price.
What exactly is available?

- Hay sauna – a gentle form of relaxation where pleasant warmth and the aromas of meadow hay create natural conditions for regeneration. Thanks to the moderate temperature and humid air, a session in this type of sauna has a mild effect on the body, promoting detoxification and deep relaxation, while also providing a sensual pleasure through the scents rising from the warmed grass.

Hay sauna
Swimwear is required, while slippers and a bathrobe are provided as part of the admission fee.
Private wellness area
It is possible to rent the wellness area for private use. Private access for one hour (from 7:45 PM to 8:45 PM) costs €100 for up to 3 people, with an additional €20 for each extra person. Advance reservation is required.
Wellness Massages
Massage treatments are available by prior reservation, at an additional cost of €50 per hour, or as part of a package including three hours of access to the wellness area for €60 per person.
Electric vehicle charging
Advance reservation is required. The charging fee is standard market price for slow recharging station.
Luggage storage
Guests can leave their luggage in the storage area, which is especially convenient when return flights from Bergamo to Poland are scheduled for the evening. It gives you an entire extra day for sightseeing.
Airport transfers to/from Bergamo Airport
The property also offers transfers to and from Bergamo Airport, available by prior reservation and for an additional fee.
Moss Event Area
This is a perfect choice for business clients or those seeking a space for hosting larger events. Punto di Contatto is the heart of AR Suites & Art – a versatile and characterful venue designed to meet even the most refined needs. It is an exceptional place, thoughtfully created to host a wide range of events: from elegant gourmet dinners and art exhibitions to the perfect setting for unforgettable corporate gatherings.
Outdoor terrace
Outside, though not at ground level but on the first floor, there is a terrace connecting two buildings owned by the same proprietors. It’s a peaceful spot surrounded by greenery, where guests can relax – and in the summer, they can also order a drink.
Lounge bar
The lounge bar, located next to the dining area where breakfast is served, is open in the evenings on selected days of the week. In the same space, tea and sweet snacks are offered as part of the daily Tea & Sweet Time.
Flight simulator
Imagine yourself sitting at the controls of a powerful Boeing 737. In front of you stretches the runway, while real cockpit buttons and levers pulse under your fingertips. An instructor guides you through each maneuver and system check. Once you master the basics, the scenery changes: this time you become the pilot of an F-18 fighter jet, ready for takeoff from an aircraft carrier. Ahead lie low-level flights, sharp turns, aerial acrobatics, and heart-racing speeds.
During a 90-minute simulated flight, participants have the chance to step into the role of a pilot of two different aircraft: first taking command of a Boeing 737, then moving to the cockpit of an F-18 Hornet fighter jet. Two guests may accompany the experience as observers – either in the passenger cabin or in the control room.
The attraction is available even for those with no prior flight experience and requires prior contact with the reception desk. Minimum participant age: 11 years. The current price is available upon request at the AR Suites & Art reception.

Day trips by public transport from Bergamo
Bergamo is not only a beautiful destination but also a perfect base for exploring many nearby attractions. You don’t need a car to experience and visit many of them. Where exactly can you go by train and bus?
Milan
A wonderful city full of monuments and Europe’s second fashion capital after Paris. You can quickly and easily reach Milan by train, with frequent departures from Bergamo. Here you can read more about the city and see how beautifully it is decorated during the Christmas season.
Lake Como
The wonderful Lake Como is the most popular destination for day trips from Bergamo. The train (partially replaced by a substitute bus service until the end of 2026 due to track renovations) allows you to reach Lecco or the beautiful Varenna, where you can visit places such as the famous Villa Monastero. In Varenna, you can also board a ferry to the charming and popular Bellagio or to Lenno, where the magnificent Villa del Balbianello awaits – its gardens were featured in films such as “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones” and “Casino Royale.”
Lake Garda
The best way to reach Lake Garda is by train. Railway stations are located in the towns of Desenzano del Garda and Peschiera del Garda. To reach the famous town of Sirmione, you should get off at Desenzano del Garda and then take a bus to Sirmione, departing from the train station. Lake Iseo
Less popular but equally beautiful, Lake Iseo – partly located within the province of Bergamo – can be visited by taking the E-line bus from the bus station to the town of Sarnico.
